• Milano Montagna Vibram Factory, the Winners

    On Saturday October 10th five projects rose to the top in the Milano Montagna Vibram Factory competition, created to promote ideas and projects made by students, professionals and mountain passionate.

    MILANO MONTAGNA VIBRAM FACTORY WINNERS

    • LUNGHI/MARMONTI/PEDULLI TEAM - FREJA

      Innovative jacket design with three main parts, all activated by an air compressor, designed to swell and fit the body perfectly.

    • MATTHIAS GRUBER - 60 DEGREES

      This project aims to revitalize the declining snowboard market with a multi-functional new board design: one that offers athletes new possibilities of movement, variation and driving style, not to mention the promise of fun new tricks.

    MILANO MONTAGNA VIBRAM SPECIAL PRIZE

    • COLONNA/PUGNO/SIGNETTI TEAM - RUBBER SOLES FOR WINTER SPORTS

      The goal is to develop soles capable of high grip on ice. How? By optimizing the sole’s materials including orientation of the fibres, pattern, rigidity, type and size.

    • POTENZA/MAGGI/CAVALIERE TEAM - MODULE FOR SURVIVING IN EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS

      Developed for the creation of remote camps in extreme environments, the tent of this project has already been used in the Alps and Antarctica, but it’s never been seen by the public until now.

    • CAROLINA SUELS - LE OLGHER’S

      The goal of this project is to give travelers a footwear option that’s lightweight, portable and comfortable. This soft boot design is perfect for anyone looking to optimize space without sacrificing comfort.
